Football Academy
Professional football coaching delivered by ex professional footballers from Premier Player Football Academy and Woodham Sports Academy Director, Liam Clough. Selective in all year groups. -
Gymnastics Academy
Gymnastics Coaching from Angela Minervini. Angela began competing in both school and club settings at the age of 7. She held the title of Schools County Champion for 7 years and went on to compete at National Schools Floor and Vault finals twice. -
Table Tennis Academy
Woodham Table Tennis Academy builds on the success of Woodham Table Tennis Club. Many students already enjoy playing regularly during lunchtime and after school. -
Swimming Academy
Woodham is one of only four secondary schools in County Durham with a swimming pool. Woodham Swimming Academy is open to all keen swimmers in years 7-11. Some will already take part in competitive swimming at club level. -
Cricket Academy
Coached by Durham County Cricket coach, Danny Morgans. Open entry Year 7, selective thereafter. A talented cricketer in his own right, Danny made his debut for Darlington First Eleven at the age of 15. -
Dance Academy
Open to all in Years 7 and 8 who enjoy dance and want to have the opportunity to perform. Students studying for GCSE Dance in Years 9, 10 and 11 can seek membership to further develop aspects of their performance. -
Softball Academy
Coached by Newton Aycliffe Spartans, Open to all students in years 7-11. Newton Aycliffe Spartans were formed in the summer of 2011. -
American Football Academy
Coached by Jon Tait, the Woodham Warriors squad is open to all in Years 7, 8 and 9 and is selective in Year 10 and 11. Having coached American Football now for over 10 years, Jon is regarded as one of the best youth coaches in Great Britain.
