TEACHER OF COMBINED STUDIES
MPS/UPS Scale
This post is open to both NQT’s and experienced teachers. Due to the nature of the post applications from Primary School teachers will be considered.
For September 2008, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to teach our KS3 Combined Studies programme.
Our Combined Studies programme is an initiative of which we are extremely proud. It is a personalised learning pathway where small class of SEBD students and/or students with specific learning needs are taught by one member of staff, or a small team of specialist staff, for up to 60% of their time. Combined Studies is part of the SEN department – managed by the SENCO and Foundation Learning Manager.
Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to teach a variety of KS3 subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and French, however, these will be open to negotiation. A good level of English and Mathematics is vital.
This is an excellent post for someone wishing to develop as a specialist SEN teacher.
Further details and an application form are available from the Headteacher’s Personal Assistant, Ms Lesley Woodward.
Closing Date for Applications: Monday 16th June 2008
Interviews: w/c 23rd June 2008
